Yes, I've used this tool to seat tire beads - but it doesn't always work. But, pros have many more tools and tricks for stubborn tires. A can of ether or a little gasoline are the most dangerous, but experienced people have used this method for years. The best method is an air blast into the bead area that expands side walls onto the rim seating area - or just use an inner tube!Okay, since you don't want to use an inner tube, the method that works just as well as using the Ken-Tool 31433 Pneumatic is simply using a 1-inch ratchet strap like this one - Master Lock 3054DAT 12-Foot-by-1-Inch Ratchet Tie Down. The ratchet strap works every bit as fast and easy as the Ken-Tool 31433. Still, there are times when the Ken-Tool 31433 will not work - but neither will a ratchet strap in these cases. For either to work better, soap the tire tread first. But, save your cash and purchase the ratchet strap. Not only will the ratchet strap save you a lot of money, it will last much longer over time. The Ken-Tool air bladder isn't as impervious as its strap, and it's strap doesn't last as long as a Master Lock 3054DAT 12-Foot-by-1-Inch Ratchet Tie Down.Save your cash. I knew someone who purchased one of these years ago - and we both used it a few times. It was thrown away within a year after it would no longer hold air - and after it was seen a simple ratchet strap did the same thing just as well without failure.Use a 2-inch ratchet strap like this 2" X 10' Endless Ratchet Strap with 6k Industrial Grade Webbing for bead seating heavier duty tires.Truckers have known how to use a ratchet straps to seat beads on their tires for years. They can't sit stranded for long on the side of a highway, and sometimes must mount their own tires to rims and then to their truck. Spend your money on a good tire bar. Two of them will make changing tires on rims much easier - especially tires on Bud rims.

Slime is a well known brand for flat tire prevention and repair. This tool allows you to remove valve cores, re-tap threads inside and out and ream inside valves.

I purchased a different brand, but it appears to be identical.The valve tool is smaller than I expected, only 1¼" tall, by 1¾" wide. It consists of 4 tools 1) valve removal/installation tool, 2) a die for repairing the outside threads, and 3) a tapering tap and a 4) non-tapering tap for cleaning or cutting the inside threads.The die and taps are of fairly good quality, probably not suitable for cutting new threads in hardened steel, but adequate for repairing threads in a brass valve.Because the thread pitch (18/inch) is rather fine, great care should be taken not to cross-thread the die or taps, which is difficult because the tool is so small. I suggest using an adjustable pin-vise to hold the tool when cutting threads--the length of the handle makes it easier to be sure that the tool is perfectly aligned (and remains aligned) as you cut. It may be hard to find a pin-vise large enough, but they do exist. I made up my own pin-vise with a Dremel adjustable chuck and a hex extention which I just happened to have lying around.If the threads are badly damaged (or in my case, never properly cut in the first place), you should be cautious in recutting them, cut at most a half-turn at a time, then back off 1 turn, repeat, repeat, repeat as necessary. Oil the tool and the valve before cutting (ideally using 3-in-1 oil). After cutting several full turns, it is a good idea to remove the tool completely and clean off any metal shavings, add more oil, repeat as necessary. If cutting the inside threads, you may wish to swab out the interior with an oil-soaked Q-tip--you don't want metal shavings to jam up your new valve.If you are cutting the inside threads, don't over-cut the threads it with the untapered tap--you need a tight fit, and you don't want the valve to be too deep when you reinstall it. I suggest NOT using the tapered tap unless you are certain when and how to use it--it is too steep and probably very difficult not to accidentally cross thread.Even though the tool is small, it can get in its own way in tight spaces. Fortunately it is easy to disassemble it with a hammer. Soak it in penetrating oil (or WD-40) for several hours in advance. Place the tapered tap in a hole (ideally in hard wood or plastic) at least 1½" deep. Then tap on the other end, with a hammer, protecting the untapered tap with perhaps a penny.

It's small and works as it should. I have only needed the removal/installation portion. I ordered several other slime products to qualify for the free shipping, can't beat it.

Bought just for valve tool. As described used for tightening Schrader stem valve. Did not use, or plan to user threaders.
