Good Quality but Pricey

The first TIG-8180 I ordered arrived missing a third of it's liquid filling. The gauge read 7 PSI at rest and no zero adjust mechanizm is provided to correct it. I returned the unit to Amazon who promptly replaced it. To Amazon's credit, I received the second unit within 3 days!The replacement TIG-8180 arrived with the correct amount of liquid damping fluid. The gauge read 0 at rest and tested to within 1 PSI with a lab quality digital gauge. Keep in mind the gauge reads in 5 PSI increments so this accuracy assesment is based on interpolation.Overall, the gauge is a quality instrument, compact and easy to handle. The swivel on each end of the very flexible whip hose makes it useful in tight places. My only complaint is the $70+ pricetag which is a bit much for an analog gauge.

great for the car!!

poor for the motorcycle. this thing is quality, through and through. the gauge seems to be accurate and precise. the rubber housing for it is really a great idea since i often drag the hose end while wrapping it up. only thing is that i can't get it to seal around the valve stem of my motorcycle. the straight-on fitting won't go since the chuck is too long and the angled fitting (which is why i bought this item) is angled too acutely to get a good grab.if only this came with a right-angled chuck!
