I am looking to replace all 6 of my old inflators with digital inflators due to the change in new regulation. In the market for something reliable since they are for shop uses. Bought a Blue Point digital inflator for $130 from Snap-ons truck. Bought the Power Tank TIG-8310 Digital inflator for $100. For the $30 saving, this unit is junk. It is like the one you can buy at Harbor Frieght. Just between the Blue Point vs the Power Tank.Power Tank - Pro - power on by itself Con - 24" whip too long (get in the way), very slow airing and releasing extra air, dim backlight, unit button change once you touch it by accident (Blue Point has to hold for 2 seconds), back nozzle starting to leak air after 2 weeks of use (when use the front nozzle, I can hear air coming out from the back), price ($100)Blue Point - Pro - a lot faster airing and releasing the extra air, one handle action (hold half way to release air, pull a bit harder to put in air), backlight is easier to see, number also slightly bigger, unit only changes if button is held down for 2 seconds Con - does not power on by itself (have to hit on button), price ($30 more then Power Tank (already expensive)Bottom line, this Power Tank TIG-8310 Digital Tire Inflator is a $30 unit being sold for $100. If you decide to get a digital inflator, flag down a snap-ons truck or borrow one from a friend or shop. Then you can make a better decision. By the way, I am not working for snaps-ons company. Their stuff are always expensive, but they win me over on this digital inflator.

Really Good...

I started off with a cheap-o unit from Harbor Freight. That thing had a margin of error of about 40%. Then, I bought a digital unit from Amazon that I returned. It required me to unscrew the thing, put in a battery, etc... which is normally fine, but the screws were stripped. Then, I bought one from a local car shop, and it was OK. I have to fill my tires to 36, so knowing if I filled them to 40 on the gauge, it would be fine.Then, I got this one. It tracks one lb/sq in off when I 'test' its ability. Highly reccomended.
