Slime is a well known brand for flat tire prevention and repair. Repairing a tire was never easier and more comfortable than with this uniquely designed pistol grip reamer plugger. This 10 piece kit comes with 8 ultra strong repair strings and 2 comfortable pistol grips.

The best kit for the do it yourself mechanic

This is the best tire repair kit for the "do it yourself" garage mechanic.2 Big positives:1) The angled grip makes it much easier to push in the repair strand because it gives you EXTRA leverage. Try a repair when its below freezing and you will know what I mean.2) The repair tool that looks like a fork is OPEN ENDED at the end so once you get the repair strand in the tire (with about an inch hanging out) a swift pull will allow the strand needed for the repair to stay put in the tire without pulling the whole strand out.To use the kit you first pull out the nail or screw with a pliers or a wire cutter if its tougher to get at. Then immediately put in the reamer and file the hole back and forth so it easily moves. Then pull out the reamer and immediately put in the open ended fork tool with the repair strand in place ad shove it in the hole until about of an inch is hanging out. Remove the tool and the strand should stay in place. Cut the extra material with a razor blade even with the tire tread. Spray some Fantastik on to see if it bubbles ( it shouldn"t) and you are DONE.Most other tool kits have an arrow type of end. That design is inferior because it is much more easy to pull out the repair strand after you push it in the tire thereby letting air gush out of the hole. Now you have to scramble to start over by putting in the tool that files the hole while you have to prepare the other tool with the repair strand and hope it doesn't pull out again.This kit ALWAYS WORKS the first time for me.I keep one of these kits in the trunk of each car we own.BUY THIS KIT!

No sealant included

No sealant is included with this kit, although sealant is required for a proper repair. The "10 piece kit" gives you the reamer handle, the insertion handle, and 8 plugs. You're on your own for finding the rubber cement. If you try this without sealant, chances are very good that your repair will not work.I've used Slime tire repair kits before and they work well when used properly. Calling this a "kit" (as written on the product packaging) when a critical ingredient is missing is misleading. You need to buy the rubber cement separately.Slime 1050 Rubber Cement - 8 oz.
