I was at an auto event and picked up a nail in my tire. One of my friends had a North Shore plug kit and we proceeded to use it to plug my tire. I was very impressed with the "quality" and feel of the tools/kit. It worked like a charm and I went home and ordered 2 kits that night. I have used other cheap auto parts store kits in the past and this absolutely is worth a few extra dollars and very effective. I ended up buying two of these 60 String kits, one each for my car and my wife's car. Shortly after delivery - literally - about 4 days later, my brother showed up at my house after a 5 hour drive. When I looked at his car I noticed his back tire was low. Sure enough he had picked up a nail and the tire was almost completely flat. I used my newly acquired kit and fixed his tire in about 10 minutes very easily! I had never heard of North Shore before, and then I used their kits twice in one week! This is a very good quality tool to keep in your garage or vehicle - just in case. It pays for itself upon the first use!!

I own a tire dealership so we are hard on these emergency repair kits with 3 different mechanics using it every day. Keep in mind these plugs will seal any tire and probably last forever but are "Temporary Emergency Use Only" the proper repair is always a tire dismount, inspect for damage, and install a combination patch/plug from the inside. On the trail or on the side of the highway thats not possible so these work to get you to your repair shop for a "permanent" repair. This kit is the best - miles better than any other brand kit.
