No replacement canisters available!

I checked into getting replacement canisters for this unit and was told none are available, since the product has been discontinued by the manufacturer! You'll still be able to use the unit as an air compressor, so it will still have some value, but you'll only get one application of "Slime" from it.

It seemed so easy...

The simple instructions seemed so easy, but everything went so wrong. Long story short, upon slowly backing off the slime canister after running it in for 1 minute it did not "leak some residual slime" but rather exploded all over me, the floor, the car - you name it. Let me tell you - slime is not a good replacement for a facial. The compressor is so, so (noisy and slow but has a light!) - the packaging/case nice (easy to use, nice reflector). We will keep for the compressor.

NO REFILLS but decent pump

I bought one of these knowing that they no longer make the refill canisters. I really wanted a 12V air pump for the tires as a "keep in the car" unit. It was able to add 10PSI to my SUV tires in about 5 minutes. So I decided to buy another one just for the pump. You can't beat the price right now, guess it is on close out since it seems to be discontinued.A model with refill cartridges is Slime 70005 Safety Spair Flat Tire Repair System but the refills cost more than the price of this entire unit.Bottom line ... buy this if you want a 12V pump. It comes with a nice carry case and has a fill ball valve stem included.
