Slime #20049 Tire Gage Review

I've used the Slime #20049 brass tire gage for the last 18 months and have found it to be superior to numerious other tire gages I've owned. I put about 4 seconds air in each of my tires once a month. I allow the tires about 2 hours to cool down and set the pressure in each tire, using the air bleed button, to the exact pressure(32 psig)specified by the tire manufacturer. I like this tire gage so much that I bought eight additional units from Amazon as Christmas gifts for my close friends. The Slime #20049 Tire Gage is a high quality, precision instrument for maintaining the correct tire pressure. Monthly use can improve fuel economy and extend the service life of your tires.

The updated model is not brass and hard to read BEWARE

Ordered 2 of this model expecting to get the brass case version with easy to read imperial only gauge markings as pictured. What I got was the same chrome plated hard to read version that I have been looking at and avoiding at the local auto parts stores. The guage face is now entirely different from as shown; with BAR numbers to the inside of markings and the imperial pound markings tucked up underneath the rim of the gauge body. very difficult to read/Seriously ergonomically flawed.

I tested it ... and ... it's accurate

I've been hesitant to review to quickly ... waiting instead to observe. I'm pleased. Here's why:1) the dial is easy to read,2) the pressure result remains until a button is pressed to delete the result,3) it's accurate ... I tested it against 3 other tire pressure gauges and it was within 1 lb. of one and yielded the same result as the other two,4) the price is right
